This is a word list to document what words get changed when the toggle in the menu bar of the banniNation pages gets changed to "no bad words." The common rule is that words in the filter have all but their first and last letters replaced with asterisks. Extended versions of filtered words seem to only affect the specific string of consecutive letters that make up a filtered word, and not the entire longer word itself. For example, "fuck" gets replaced as "f**k", but "fucking" gets replaced as "f**king" instead of "f*****g".

Word filters aren't perfect and the result of certain strings of text showing up make for some unintended, yet hilarious, results.

The word filter option for the site currently affects usernames in the comments headers and words in the comment body for each post. They also affect headlines and words in the tag cloud on the main page.

There are some known issues with the word filter at this point. It does not appear to affect tags inside the tag bar on comments pages, so be careful about entering a SFW thread that may have tags that matches one of the filtered swear-words below. Another issue is that the filter may also occasionally "miss" a word in the threads and leave it unfiltered. Words are also not filtered on the queue and profile pages. These issues are likely to be fixed soon.

Another issue, one that cannot be fixed without compromising the word filter, is looking at profiles of usernames with filtered words. For example, clicking on the link for "ratfucker"'s profile in a thread while the word filter is on, sends you to: http://www.bannination.com/users/ratf**ker instead, which is an invalid profile URL.
