I am virtually certain that this is the wrong place to post this comment, and I beg your indulgence for stinking up what is a very nicely-formatted page on the ins and outs of IRC. I'll make this quick: I don't do IRC chat. If you see someone pretending to be me in the chat room, you have my permission to terminate the impostor with extreme prejudice. I don't even know enough about IRC to 'protect my nickname,' so it's up to you. If I ever get round to learning IRC, I'll let you know. Feel free to nuke this comment, move it somewhere else, or whatever suits you - just be advised that I have not, do not, and have no future plans to appear on IRC chat.
