Because royaldutchofdukes is a hard-line minarchistit can be difficult to tell where he stands on the issues. Here is a brief, and by no means complete, overview:
Abortion- rdd is of the firm belief that government has no business legislating morality, except where there is a overwhelming plurality. 95% sounds good to him. That said, he does believe that abortion, except in cases involving rape or incest, is wrong.
Affirmative Action- In a free market, where doing or not doing business with someone based on race, or what sort of hoo-hah you were given at birth, would be absolutely suicidal, affirmative action should not be necessary. The question, then, is: what do we do now? We do not have a free market. To that, rdd says:what has government ever done right? Affirmative Action is an artificial solution to a very real problem.
Balanced Budget- rdd is fully in support of a balanced budget. Why there isn't a Constitutional amendment is one of the great ongoing travesties of American politics.
Taxes- The Income Tax amounts to slavery. Under no circumstances should the government be allowed to take the fruits of our labor. This country was founded in large part due to taxation without representation. If you think that politician you're always sucking off represents you, I've got a gently used bridge up on eBay.
Crime- Crime is rampant in the streets. Our childrens, they can't even play at the park no more. The Negroes are everywhere with the loud music...bullshit. America has never BEEN safer, and everyone from President Bush to Richard Jewell knows it. Aww, someone stole your car? Try living on the prairie in the 1880s, keeping your cattle and your fucking chickens from being pilfered by Okies. You've been hornswaggled.
Death Penalty-Personally, rdd opposes the death penalty. However, it would appear that he is in the minority on that subject, so he gladly defers to the will of the People, so long as it is never a mandatory sentence for ANY offense. It should be deserved and honestly come by. Some bastards do deserve it, even if we are dirtying our hands by doing so.
The War on Drugs-In 1916, Georgia Tech took the gridiron against a stouthearted group of upstarts from tiny Cumberland College of Lebanon, TN. The odds were stacked against Cumberland, who had discontinued their football program but were forced by contractual obligation to field a team against legendary coach's John Heisman's Engineers. Nevertheless, Cumberland took up the gauntlet, feeling it necessary to fight for their very pride.
They lost, 222-0.
Yet, this is not the biggest asskicking in American history.
Education- I'll get back to this later. Government education has not instilled me with the work ethic I need to slog through this.
