"I came to banniNation before it was called banniNation. I won't mention what it was called previously.
I had received a 24 hour timeout from Fark because I called a moderator a "pillow-biting Nancy" for deleting cleavage posts in the "Duke Cheating" article. When the timeout expired I got permabanned for mentioning this site on Fark.
Since then I've worked on the graphics for bN, solicited a bunch of new members, and I've tried to contribute as much as I can in advice and participation.
Personally, I love the site and the community. It was pretty scary in the first few days. I remember refreshing the page only to find that someone inserted a repeating "Goatse" image in the background. But grahams fixed the abuse quickly enough that only the more prominent Nancies decided that bN wasn't for them. And that's pretty much how the site has continued to develop. The community grows, changes, finds new memes, and they have ideas about how the site should change to reflect that. And the change happens. Almost frighteningly quick, at times."
